Juneau Whale Watching Tour
Juneau is home to some of the largest populations of humpback whales in the world and we are excited to bring you up close and personal in their natural environment.
Whale watching in Juneau, Alaska
Your tour starts with a personal greeting from an Alaska Whale Watching Tours representative, who then escorts you to the bus. On your way to the whale watching harbor, you are guided through town via bus to see the sights along the way, including a glimpse of the Mendenhall Glacier.
Your Alaskan whale watching tour includes two full hours out on the water to see local wildlife and our majestic humpback whales at their finest. Aboard our boats, you have the opportunity to see sea lions basking in the sun on Benjamin Island or taking a nap on an ocean buoy. Look up and scan the sky for bald eagles soaring peacefully in the air. Have your cameras ready to capture breathtaking photos of humpback whale flukes, breaches, and rare bubble-net feeding.
Our impressive orca whales are even occasionally sighted traveling in pods on our tours! Snap a photo of the Mendenhall Glacier on your way back toward the dock or stop and chat with the on-board naturalist who can answer any of your questions during the tour.
